Raised on Rhythm is a dance performance that examines, explores and celebrates the
power and depth of rhythm. Where does the rhythm come from? What does it do to us? And where does it begin and end?

The performance is about rhythm as a breeding ground for energy, creativity and intelligence. And rhythm's ability to build community and at the same time make room for an individual identity. This  work that deals with the role of rhythm in history and in the future. But also about the impact of rhythm on our daily life – in dance, play, work and everyday chores.

“Rhythm Makes The World go Round! - All over the world we can find children playing games heavily based on rhythm. We learn about the world through songs, claps, dance and so on. Growing up I was one of those kids. Rhythm has always been a powerful source of energy in my life and it has saved me from countless of challenging moments. It helps me tap deeper into my reality, cleanse out stress and relieve me from tension. Right now it feels like the intelligence and the presence of rhythm needs to be rediscovered and reintroduced… like there is something it wants to tell us about the times and challenges we are living in globally today.”
